1st Avenue Salon was established in 2008, by owner Veka Estrada. We specialize in color, highlights, balayage and color correction. Our team is fully confident in doing dramatic transformations, and can work with all types of lengths and cuts. Our stylists attend two classes a month to train/learn new techniques and styles. We participate yearly in trade shows and hair expos. We stay updated with new trends and products, and are proud to carry 3 of the most noteworthy brands in hair-care, Kerastase, Aveda, and Davines. 1st Avenue Salon operates with attention and respect for our environment. We use high grade, natural ingredients which have been scientifically proven to restore and reconstruct the health of hair.

Veka has been in the cosmetology industry for as long as she can remember. Growing up, Veka had an interest in beauty and hair that persisted into adulthood. Naturally, Veka chose to work in the hair, body, face, care industry.
Veka enjoys being able to serve the public at 1st Avenue Salon - Arcadia Pasadena where service, quality, and consistently going above and beyond for customers is the driving force of the business.
VANESSA
STYLIST
My name is Vanessa Diaz. I've been doing hair for 13 years and I love it! I love getting to use the creative side of my brain. I like to make people look good and feel good. I've trained with many different lines but I simply love Aveda. I've always known I've wanted to be a hairstylist.
I love a challenge and getting to meet new people. I'm a southern California girl, lived and did hair in New York for a period of time but my heart belongs to California. - Vanessa
